Finance 1050: Personal Finance
1. Saving Money- It's good to put money away in case of an emergency. You never know what can happen at any point, so you need to save for the unexpected.
2. Reading a credit score- When you are young it's good to learn how to use a credit card wisely. You should have good credit if you do use it wisely.
3. Spending money wisely- You should have a list of what you need and what you want, to see what you need to save for.
I think saving money is the concept I will use the most in my life. I don't have a job now, but in the future I will. I want to be as financial stable as I can, I want to put a lot of my paychecks in savings. You never know what will happen, so it's better to be prepared. I have a savings account right now and any time I get money I put some of it in savings, for when I need it in the future. From when I was really young I have been taught to save money and not to spend it right away. If there is something you want it's good to put some money away for that specific thing instead of taking money out of savings.
The concept I think I will use the least in my life is how to fill out tax returns. I say this because my grandpa is a CPA and my mom and aunt work for him. My aunt has always done my older siblings taxes and she plans to do mine. I think it's still a good concept to learn how to do, but not for me. Tax returns can be complicated, I will hire professionals.

Signature Assignment
I chose to upload reading a credit card statement. I think it is important to know how to read a credit card statement so you can make sure all charges are correct. It's also important to make sure you have the right due date. You also want to make sure they gave you credit for your last payment.
