Final Project-Client Presentation:
Client Profile:
Clients: Don and Kathy Randall
Designer: Amanda Randall
Date: October 14, 2017
Occupants: Don is 60 and Kathy is 58. Don works away from the home, while Kathy works from home each day.
Special Considerations: They have young grandkids that come over a lot so nothing too valuable or breakable, like glass.
Lifestyle: They are both busy with work and family that at the end of the day they like to put their feet up for a bit.
Hobbies: They both enjoy being home. They also love when their out-of-state kids come and visit.
Space to be designed: Living/Sitting Room
Entertaining: They have a big family, with six kids. So they need the space for when everyone is at their home.
Daily activities for space: Extra sitting space, visiting area with family and friends.
Favorite colors: They both like neutral colors like white, brown/tan and grey.
Room impressions: Comfortable and inviting for everyone that
visits
Favorite flooring: They like dark wood floors.
Desired style: They both want an updated space that has a rustic/ farm house look to it.
Items to keep: Nothing specific, they are fine getting all new everything.
Budget: $12,000
Schedule: Complete by early to Mid-November.
Problem Statement: They don’t have a problem right now with the room. They are just wanting a more updated look to match their dining room which is across from this room.
Reflection: There really isn't a problem because they are just wanting an updated space. However it could potential be hard finding the right furniture to fit and look good in the space because of the way the windows are.

Reflection:
- I learned so much throughout the semester that helped me complete the Client Assignment. Scaling was probably the most important skill I learned because of how many times I had to scale objects and draw them out. Another thing that helped me complete this assignment was learning more about color and the colors that go best together.
- I didn’t find anything surprising with this assignment, however I did really like it and it made me want to take another course like this in the future. I didn’t encounter any problems while working on this assignment. I allowed time to do each part of the assignment before the due dates to make me not feel rushed. I wanted to take my time and do my best.
- I didn’t make any connections with other courses I have taken in the past with this course. This was my first course like this and in this subject. I most likely will take another course like this in the future because of the interest I gained throughout the semester.
- I don’t think I would do anything different if I were to start this assignment over. I enjoyed working with my clients, I felt that I picked the right room, it wasn’t too big or too small, I stayed well under my clients’ budget, etc. I personally feel I did a good job overall on this assignment by staying ahead and not stressing myself out at the end.
